Are You Saved?

Listen!  This is the hour to receive God’s favor; today is the day to be saved!

In God’s Word there is a passage where an ordinary group of people asked this question: “What must we do to be saved?” And today, the answer is no different. To be saved, we must:

Recognize we are separated from God due to our sins and our sinful tendencies.
Repent (decisively turn away from) our sinfulness and turn to God for forgiveness.
Accept God’s provision of total forgiveness by faith by believing in the sacrificial death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ as both Savior and Lord.

“for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

Finally, God asks you to you openly confess Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from death.  When you do this, you will be saved.

“For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God,
and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved”.

Please say this pray out loud today and really mean it:

“Heavenly Father,
I come to You today because I admit that I am a sinner.
I have gone my own way for too long,
and my sins have separated me from You, God.
I now make a conscious decision to receive Your
gracious offer of salvation through Jesus Christ, Your Son.
Thank You, Jesus, for taking my punishment by nailing it to Your cross.
I ask You to forgive me and cleanse me of all my sins.
From this day forward, I will confess You as my Savior.
After You rose from the dead, You sent the Holy Spirit—the Spirit of Truth,
to be my Comforter, Helper, and Guide forever.
Thank You, Lord, that I am born again and receive a new life in Christ.
In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.”
