What We Believe
Our faith rests wholly in the Lord Jesus Christ for our personal salvation, and we believe in the teachings and practices of the Word of God, the Holy Bible. We believe in the following great, distinctive principles which the Word of God clearly states:
- The Bible is the inspired authoritative and only infallible Word of God. (2 Tim. 3:15-17; Heb. 4:12; 2 Pe. 1:19-21)
- There is one true God, eternally existent in three persons—God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Matt. 3:16-17; 1 Jn. 5:6-8)
- The deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, atoning death through His shed blood, bodily resurrection, ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal, future return to this earth in power and glory to rule for one thousand years. (Matt. 1:23, 26:27-28, 28:7; Lu. 1:34-35, 24:6-7, 51; Jn. 20:17; 1 5:21; Eph. 1:7; Col. 1:14; Heb. 4:15, 13:20-21; 1 Pe. 1:3, 2:22; Rev. 20:4)
- The salvation of man through the precious shed blood of Jesus Christ, grace through faith, believing in the heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, and confessing the Lord Jesus with the mouth. (Rom. 3:24, 10:9-10; Eph. 2:8)
- You must be born again in order to enter the Kingdom of God. (Jn. 3:3-8; Ezek. 36:25-27)
- Water baptism is an ordinance of the Church, symbolizing to the world that the believer has died in Christ and has been raised together with Him to walk in newness of Life. (Matt. 28:19; Acts 10:47-48; Rom. 6:3-4)
- The baptism in the Holy Spirit as a fulfillment of the promise of the Father by the initial physical sign of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance, for the purpose of spiritual power in personal and public testimony and service after the New Birth. (Acts 1:8, 2:2-4, 10:44-47; Rom. 8:26)
- The sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life. (Rom. 8:11, 26-27, 15:16; 1 6:11)
- The Blessed Hope: Jesus is coming again to gather all of His saints to Heaven. (Tit. 2:13; 2 Thes. 2:1)
- The Lake of Fire: Those who have not accepted the redemptive work of Jesus Christ will suffer eternal separation from the Godhead. They will burn in the lake of fire forever and ever. (Rev. 19:20, 20:10-15)
- The Millennial Reign of Jesus Christ: The return of our Lord Jesus Christ with His saints from Heaven to rule and reign for one thousand years on earth. (Rev. 19:11-16, 20:1-7)
